Hay!

The hanging onions were in the spotlight this morning when I went out to do chores.
Nice and cool....but it did not stay that way.

Went over to Shamra's to give her a ride to Brockport.  See where I got the idea to add strings to the morning glories?
At 4 we planned on going to get 160 bales of hay, so I blocked the horses off from the big pasture.  That way we could drive right up to the back of the barn to unload.
Scott loaned us his truck and we loaded it up first.  These bales were light and very soft.
Easy to move and the horses loved the sample I brought home the other day.
We only wanted to make one trip, so Karen brought along her bosses truck and trailer.

We hired Nick to help us.
When we got back to the farm their were deer out back watching us.
Gary had a board meeting tonight, but fortunately he was able to help before he left.
Got everything loaded and unloaded in under an hour and a half.

We set the bales on edge and did not stack them as we always want to make sure they are good and dry.  By the weekend they will be in nice piles.

Returned Scott's truck (which is huge and I could not reach the peddles without putting a couple pillows behind my back) and took a break before doing chores.
 Berlin's dinner.
 Angel's.
 Maggie's.
 And Abbe's.
It was dark by the time I was finished.
Night all.

The hay looks awesome. I'm sure the girls will love it! Like the presentation of apple and carrot snacks on the hay. It's good to be a horse at your place at dinner time.
