Grand Canyon Rescue Episode

I am loving these cool mornings!
 So are all our critters.

It turned out to be a very interesting day.

At 11:30 I picked up Ariana and we headed into Rochester to meet Jenny for lunch.  We discovered that there was a restaurant on East Avenue that served Croation food and it sounded interesting.
Scott (Happy Birthday today) even made an attempt to join us during his very short lunch hour.
After parking our car we were told that the restaurant was not open today.
The only pictures I took there were these two.
The blossoms were so beautiful.
By then, Scott ran out of time and headed back to work.
We decided to go to Pomodoro's.
 There have been many changes.
A new patio and a different menu.
The food we ordered was good...
(I especially liked the salad)
 but the menu changes
were disappointing as some of our favorites were gone.

It did not stop us from having an enjoyable time.
Earlier, when we picked up Jenny, she had had a rather disconcerting start to the day.  Then, the first restaurant was closed....when we dropped her off after lunch she left her keys in my car and we had to turn around and drove back to her office so she could unlock the door.
Hopefully the rest of her day was smooth sailing.
I did some campaign work when we got back to the farm.
Gary went down to the Welcome Center to set up for Summer Serenades, Ariana went for a run and the farrier showed up at 5:45 to reset the front shoes on Angel and Maggie.

Both girls were excellent.  Ben does great work.
Thank you Karen, for doing chores tonight.

In the meantime, our hot water tank was not working and Scott C. stopped in to check it out before I went to Brockport.  Who knows, maybe that will be our next major purchase.  Ugh!

Anyway....I got down there a few minutes after 7.
The Grand Canyon Rescue Episode was on tap.
American Roots Music that they have written.

Quite a crowd, and very appreciative.

Can you see Patricia?  One of my art students....the grand master of colored pencils.
This was my favorite song, as I love playing the washboard.
He sure had a lot of extra gizmos on his.

I wonder if Gary and Adam were talking about gardens.

Of course Mary and I did some schmoozing tonight.

We did not wear our campaign shirts....
 but Tom and Pat did!
Next time Mary, Annie and I will dress properly.
I have known this police officer since he was in high school and he would come to the barn to lift weights with Gary and a couple of other kids.  Now he is in the same age range as our daughters and he still looks like he could be in high school!
Of course Mary and I were on our best behavior.
I was never in many of the pictures posted on my Journal until I started running for Town Board.
Now you are seeing me all over the place.
A very full day.
Night all.
