Potatoes Boiled in Vinegar

 Still muggy.

After chores I went for a Trike ride down Ladue Road...before it got too hot.

Picked a few things in the garden, and when I got back in the house....Roger called and invited us to dinner.  I said yes and volunteered to make a rustic rhubarb pie

Between us, Gary and I picked enough tomatoes for two pots of sauce...

along with two containers of veggies.
One for Margay and Ulpi...the other for Tina and Roger.
In addition to the pie, I made some very different potatoes for our dinner.  Got the recipe from FB.  First I put two cups of vinegar in a frying pan.
In the meantime I sliced 5 potatoes, which were added to the vinegar and brought to a boil for about 8 minutes.  Turned off the heat and let them sit there for 30 minutes.
Then, drained them, dried them on paper towels, put them back in the clean empty pan, covered them with a little olive oil, salt and pepper and placed them on a cookie sheet under the broiler.  It took about 9 minutes to brown up, then I turned them over and browned the other side.
  Voila!  SPECTACULAR flavor.

Got to Roger and Tina's a little after 6.

The meal was spectacular!  Roasted chicken and salad, along with the salt and vinegar potatoes.

We ate out on the patio and DJ kept us company.

 The pie was delish.

 Night all.
