Just An Ordinary Day

Woke up to another coolish morning.

I don't know what was planted in the field to the north of us, but today it was sprayed.  As far as I know, we have no choice in the matter.  All we have is this little buffer.
Had to get the lead out as I had my annual check up with the dermatologist in Rochester and needed to be there by 10am.  All clear....yay!
Did some weeding today and Gary got all the peppers planted.
Progress.

Took a break this afternoon before chores... it was still in the 60s and just started to get nice out after a pretty grey day.

Roger and Tina called and wondered if we wanted to get a pizza.
Went out to Tavern 19 and the service was not so great.
The pizzas were fine and so was the company.
Too bad they don't have their act together.
The sun was setting on the way home and I started taking pictures with my little Canon point and shoot...it froze up on me.

When we got back to the farm I grabbed my Powershot and drove down the road to see if I could get a few more photos before dark.

Rich, warm colors to the west and cool colors to the east.

Night all.

Weeding is one of those thankless jobs but it has to be done. Beautiful sunset shots.

Dear Lori, your postings always fill me with such a sense of contentment and well-being. Thank you for quiet words and deep appreciation of your life--horses, farm, food, pictures, sunrises and sunsets--so many things that make up a life well lived. Peace.

Ya, the rest of our garden in today, I hope. We've been fightin' showers. Little sun, little rain, little sun... you get the picture.
LOVE that iris.
