60????

First the flower, then a piece of art by one of my students.  Sandy Clark did this drawing of Joe's eye.  He was a big old Belgian that lived out his life here at our farm (made it to 30).
There was a brief sun sighting this morning.

but most of the afternoon was grey.  Took off the horses blankets and guess what....
my old girl, Berlin, has hives on her barrel.  Could not believe it.
Class at 10:30.  We are getting down to business for our art show that's coming up.
We hang on Thursday and the opening is on Friday, the 11th, 6-9pm.

Tina finished and framed Tabby today and I could not get a decent picture because of the glass.
Joanne is making progress on the texture drawing of her dog.
Lais finished and framed one of her collages.
At two I went to Brockport for a haircut and by the time I got home the sun was out again.

Of course all four horses rolled.

Karen came up after work and they all got a good brushing.  Tucked in by 7.  I'm washing Berlin's sheet for tomorrow and just put a sheet on her for tonight.  A few more hives on her face but her barrel was the same.  Will be touching base with the vet tomorrow.

It sure makes a difference when the sun is out and the temperature is still in the 50s for evening chores!

Gary painted all day and then went down to Brockport to work on another job for 3 hours tonight.  No big dinner....but Jenny sent up some soup she had made and it was delish.
Night all.

Trees and branches outlined against sunlight, super photo. I do hope all goes OK with getting things finished for the 11th. Poor girl, definitely not hot weather hives for sure. Cheers, Jean.

Love Joe's eye!

Poor Berlin. I hope this hive affliction doesn't continue like last time.

I can't believe the hives are back! Poor thing. Have you ever tried tea tree oil? I ask that with zero horse knowledge, but it is sort of a cure all for human skin.
