Snow-Flowers-Snow-Flowers

Talk about staying power....
This was a very grey blah day.  More snow, more flowers.

The sun could barely be seen through the clouds.

After chores and lunch I went down to Verizon to get a new phone.  My old one would not take a charge and it just happened to be time for me to get a new one.  No smart phone for me...just the simplist thing out there.  No texting...no nothing.  It was "free"....I pay 50 bucks and get a 50 buck refund.  As you can guess, although I love everything those fancy phones can do, I can't stand what happens to people when they get them.  It becomes such an extension of their hands, they don't know enough to let go.  Sorry, if you are the exception....but really, what's the deal about needing to stay in touch 10 or 20 times a day.  Overkill big time.

Anyway, while I was out I left Sidney in charge.
With the exception of a few minutes, you could not tell the difference in the sky between morning and evening chores.  What a drag.

I guess the 15 minutes of sunshine should make me happy.
The girls were ready to go in for dinner.
 Me too.
Yugoslavian sausage, red cabbage, German potato salad and fried apples with onions.
Familiar?
 Night all.

Another crummy day. We were very cold but at least sunny.

I actually have an iPhone but don't use it much. Most times I forget it at home. It makes me crazy to see so many people walking around texting or driving texting or talking constantly. Even in the grocery store I saw two folks talking to each other on their phones telling one another what to pick up. Can you beat that. It's as if people can't be alone with themselves anymore. Such a shame. I do use it to take pictures once in a while.

Well, that explains why you didn't answer the text I sent you a few months ago. :) Enough with the snow already!

I'm thinking a new phone is in my future too as my Android phone is beginning to lose it's volume capabilities. I must be one of the few people that uses my cell phone like a land line -- not much interacting on my part! Have a great day Lori. xo

I appreciate the convenience of a cell phone, but it doesn't leave my purse when I arrive home.
