A Great Day For Coop....

It was raining this morning.  I wish those piles of snow would disappear.
Since it's still here, I must post yet another flower shot.
 We are getting close.

We set the hay up in the indoor and left the door open.  They lasted for awhile, but when it stopped raining the girls went back outside (and I moved the hay nets).

Needless to say, it was a muddy mess.
The Florida Babes know how to get down and dirty.

Karen and I picked most of the big pasture and called it a day.
Got back in the house around 9:30.

This afternoon I caught part of Cooper's first wrestling tournament.  He has not been participating for more than a couple of months and I was very proud of him.  Loved his attitude, sportsmanship and the way he applied what he has been learning from Scott, who has been coaching him.  He won 3 out of 4 matches and came in 2nd in his division.

I think he is going to be very good at this.

Roger and Tina were coming over for dinner tonight so I made rhubarb Betty for dessert.  The rhubarb had been frozen (from our garden) and it was just too full of moisture to try and make a pie.
When we were at the Swan Market I bought some Knackwurst and good mustard so we thought we'd enjoy another nice German meal tonight.
 Fried apples and onions
After I steamed the knackwurst I threw it in the crockpot with the sauerkraut that was just about ready.

Time out to tuck in the girls.
Then, back in just in time to get things together.
For sure, that was the best sauerkraut I've ever made (bacon, onions, vinegar, celery salt and brown sugar).
German noodles were topped with a mushroom sauce made by Roger! Incredible.
Felt confident that this meal could compete with anything you could get at Swan's.
 Even the dessert was good.
Now it's time to go in by the fire.
Night all.

The daffodils are really beautiful, and even if your weather isn't, you had a good day to make up for it!

I do wish I had some of your cooking skills. My feeble cooking skills would better be called concocting.

Had rain here too for a while but then the sun appeared. Yeah!

Looks like Coop is good at wrestling! Fun to watch.

Cute video. It would be fun to watch the younger wrestlers. The sour kraut sounds awesome!
