Moon Was Such A Good Girl...

 Another gorgeous morning.

We finished chores in a half hour flat.
While Abbe and Berlin chowed....

Lorrie harnessed up Moon and they were making their solo debut.  No instructor today, they were on their own.  She line drove her over to the indoor where she got hitched.
From then on, it was smooth sailin'.
They drove inside, in the outdoor arena....

 and down the lane.

Could not have asked for more.
I'd say Lorrie and Moon have arrived at a place where they can be on their own in between lessons.
Elizabeth will be proud of them.

After lunch I made another Rustic Peach Tart.  This time the peaches were called early reds, so the color is very different.

One of our friends stopped in to buy some garlic and we chatted for over an hour.
From there, we were off to Agape.

The girls went in for dinner at 5:30.

Then it was our turn to eat.
Tomatoes, onion, cucumbers, celery, homemade croutons and a good Italian dressing.
 Leftover pasta from last night
And of course we had the peach tart for dessert.

Now!  I was sent all kinds of pictures from Cape Cod and my computer will not let me post them.  Assume they were all taken with iPhones.  What am I doing wrong?  Until I figure it out.....
Night all.

Still Coolin' It...

And I love it this way.  No humidity and perfect temperatures.  Going into the low 50s tonight....good sleepin' weather.

After chores Lorrie and I stripped one of the run-ins...only about 8 or 9 big wheelbarrows of bedding.
It needs a good airing out.

Class this morning.  Jean is back with her texture technique and did this over the weekend.  I've shown you a lot of her work in the past.
Our friend Sara stopped up for some veggies and chatter.  Did we ever.

 Gary got a basket ready....
and after class I added to it with Kale, dill, basil and parsley.
Don't they look like two bridesmaids???

Gary is very generous with the produce from the gardens.  We supply several families.

I'm into wraps for lunch, with lots of veggies.

Gorden B. came up today and rototilled the rings.  They look much better now and I'm sure the girls will appreciate rolling in them.

Went out a little after 5 and called them in for dinner.

I made an outstanding Saint Tim salad tonight and I think he put the whammie on my camera.  The picture turned out this way so he doesn't have to look at it.  (Sorry Stephen Andrew).  Mixed greens, peaches, strawberries from the garden, our onion, caramelized pecans and crumbly blue.  Ummmmm.
Veggie bowties with sauteed onions, zucchini, steamed carrots and peas.  A no brainer.
Also had toasted Syrian bread, but I can't show you that picture either as it is blurrier than the salad.

As for the Cape Cod delegation....
Who knows what they're doing.  So far they have not sent me any pictures.
Night all.

46 YEARS AND COUNTING....

Last night I mentioned a book that had a painting included by one of my past students, Brenda Cretney.  Here it is.  Not a great photo, but you can get the idea.  If you have been following my Journal, you may recognize King Mustafa, Masterpiece (PC) and Berlin.

This morning was beautious.

Oh Gary....could you please put that board back up for me????

 Berlin and Abbe vegged....
 during Moon's driving lesson.

When I went to the grooming room to shred some paper, both of my girls  (big dogs) joined me.  I left the door open and they did whatever.

The sky was off the charts for the entire day.

At 11am Lorrie, Elizabeth and I went to check out a jogging cart for Moon...don't want to bang up the Meadowbrook when going through the woods.

Brought it to the farm to see if it fit Moon (who must have been thrilled to be harnessed up again).
They'll take it out back for their lesson on Friday and decide if it's going to work.

This afternoon Moon went after Abbe and truly kicked her butt.... there was even a little blood.

She was placed in solitary for the rest of the afternoon.

I let her out at feed time.

Our gardens are still bursting with color....

Took a quick shower and we were off to Batavia for dinner.  That's all we wanted for our anniversary.

Alex's Place is across from Batavia Downs (harness racing) and it is by far the most successful restaurant I have ever been too.  Packed...packed....packed from lunch to late at night.  Every table.
Their specialty is ribs (and prime rib).  We asked if we could eat at the bar so we didn't have to wait to be seated and met all kinds of interesting people.  Out meals were excellent, but I did not feel comfortable taking pictures with gazillions of people around.

On the way home the scenery was something.  We took back roads and as the sun started going down there was great drama in the sky.

Home Sweet Home.

But you ask, what is happening in Cape Cod?

One gigunda sand sculpture...
 More ice cream....

(I thinks she likes being on the beach)

A ride on a banana boat....
and brothers being nice to each other.

Night all.
