Six Spades and I Didn't Bid It....

We have had quite a series of beautiful sunrises and sunsets.  Today was no exception.
Chores as usual...Moon was exercised while the rest of the herd chowed.

Maggie has turned into a star performer...always there when I have my camera.
Finished mowing around the pastures and the lane after we picked up a few hundred more black walnuts.  What a drag!  Can't mow over baseballs!

Bridge today....drove there the back way.
I played the last hand of the day (we had 3 tables) and my partner had such a great hand I made 6.  Too bad we didn't bid it.  Left before I found out who came in first.  You never know.

Every afternoon I try to give Maggie and Angel a chance to be in the big pasture....usually around 4.  Didn't get home from Bridge until 4:30.

Gary put the last plexi glass window in the barn.  Now we are totally ready for the cold nights.

Tucked the girls in around 6.  There were big sun beams streaming through the windows.

Can't beat that late afternoon light.

Home too late to make dinner so we drove to Brockport for a Cubano.  By then the sky was even more dramatic and I had Gary pull off the road so I could grab a few more shots.

It gets dark so early now, it felt much later than it was.

Night all.

I love the late afternoon light as well. Its the best. Maggie sure is photogenic. Does Moon mind being worked while the others are eating breakfast?

Oh I found that those Black Walnuts sure do fly when you lawn mower over them. I will be recruiting some children after plying them with turkey to pick those abundant things up for me:) Hug B

Dear Lori, there's such a sense of serenity in your postings when I see the photographs of the horses with whom you live and watch the short videos of them.
And that photograph of the 3-tiered fence with the yellow field beyond lit by the sun was replete with beauty and tranquility. Peace.
