The Last Day of Drumming Until the End of August...

At least it wasn't raining!

I spent a lot of the morning looking for a piece of paper I have misplaced.  Before I new it, it was time to go to drumming.  Missed the past 2 Saturdays and since this was the final meeting I got myself down to the college.

It was a very different session.  Before she started drumming, the woman below was dancing to what we were practicing....so fantastic!
There is a workshop taking place in the dance department that includes people from around the world. This gorgeous participant is Sonya and she is here from Russia.
She and Jacob (from North Carolina) drummed with us and then danced to our drumming.  What a treat.  They improvised, but you would think they had practiced for weeks.
I love having the opportunity to meet people like this.
Khalid is going to North Carolina for the summer where he teaches and performs.

Home after 5!  Gary is working at Sara's from 4-8.  This is prom night and many people go there for photo shoots.  What better place for pictures.

Went right out to do chores.

Fed grain and put the the girls back out for a few hours....finally, it is not raining.

Night all.
PS-take a minute and listen to the drumming below.
That's Khalid at the recent Sankofa Performance.
