What a Difference a Year Makes!

Here's the deal.  During this same week last year, between Monday and Friday our temperatures ranged from the low 70s to 80.  This year we could hardly get past 30.  THAT is depressing, since we are 15 degrees below average...  I'd say we were spoiled.
This morning we woke up to more snow.  Enough already!

Seeing that I had no commitments today, I called Sally to see if she wanted to go to lunch.  We went to Java Junction and I had my favorite...a Greek pannini with a side salad.
Thank you for the treat Sally.

The Brockport Artist's Guild had a show going on there.  Pardon the reflections in the glass.

There were many more pieces on display...I especially loved the next two drawings.

From there I went to A Different Path Gallery to pick up the rest of my cards.  I'm outa gas and have not had any new ones printed in over a year.  It was fun while it lasted.
(Terry, you were my first customer).

Hit Wegmans and ended up a Country Max to pick up a supplement for the ponies.
Could not resist taking some pictures of the plants....  Thought it would help me to forget about the weather!!!!!

 Wishful thinking.

Spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing and went out to do chores at 6:15.
The girls were giving me the look (Abbe and Moon).

Made St. Tim's favorite salad for dinner....with oranges, banana and crumbly blue.
 Nice multi grain rolls....
and taaaa daaaaaa!  Leftover bean soup.
Now, to get back to the fire.
Night all.

We had new snow yesterday as well as colder than normal temperatures. Reading about the earth and temps... we are currently in a cold cycle in Alaska with another 10-15 years to go so no hopes of early spring here for quite some time. :) I'm enjoying the fire, too.

Um..heeelllllo salad. I'm not much of a salad eater, but that banana and orange dreamboat thing has me drooling. I gotta log off and go scrounge some dinner. Can I come to your house? ;)

Enough with the snow already!

Ahh I know. This time last year I had herbs happily growing already. But, hopefully this delayed spring means we won't have such horrible heat in the summer. There's a possibility we could have a snow storm here in central Ohio on Sun-Mon...even though it's late in march, I'll still be excited!

I love my cards - almost out of them!
So nice to see Moon is fully part of the herd now.
Our third March blizzard has just begun. Bah hum bug.

I think everything here is about three weeks later coming out this year than it was last year(flowers I mean). That bean soup looks very filling and hearty.

We did get spoiled but last year was soooo dry.

I hope the snow melts slowly.

Such nice photos today : ) We got more snow too. I have given up on waiting for spring and jumped into some projects I had been saving for warmer weather. I would love to own the artwork with the women in scarves.

Dear Lori, your postings are always a sensory treat--food that makes the mouth water; beautiful paintings, flowers, horses that delight the eye and make me want to reach out and touch; and music that soothes the weariness within. Thank you.

As to the weather: Last year we were having a heat wave in the last part of March. Today we are expecting 8 to 12 inches of snow! Peace.

I'll bet you're tired of the snow! I know i would be. And i'll bet your girls will be glad to throw off those winter coats. :) I love those drawings and your pics of the flowers. All gorgeous spring blooms. Love the hyacinths especially.
