THE NEW GROOVE...

I have been very lazy when it comes to taking sky shots, but last night the sunset was gorgeous and I made the effort.  Never got the energy to upload it.

This was our first morning without kids in the house and we both slept until after 7:30.  Rare.
 Chores....blah, blah, blah....

Then, we went down to Java....

where we hooked up with Sally and Judy (who had oatmeal with fruit....yum).

A quick trip across the street to the market....

 Left around 9:45...
and went over to the pool.
Roger and Gary (Tina too) had a chat while I did exercises and treaded water for 50 minutes.
It was overcast and we had a whisper of rain.
In the afternoon, Gar went down for his shift at the Welcome Center and I eventually went out and took the wire off the fence line that was broken through by the hay wagon the other day.
We are going to take down the whole thing and combine two of the pastures.
As long as I have two other grass paddocks in case I have to separate horses, this is going to be fine with me.

Ariana sent me this picture from her phone today.  They spent some time at this
beach in New Hampshire.

Watched some cooking shows on PBS and got motivated to make dinner.

Took a break to do chores.

If this is a preview of our future summers, we are truly in deep tapioca.
I'm so glad that Sidney is hanging around (even tho Lily stalks him every morning).
 Dinner was delish.

If this humidity does not take a break soon I'm going to scream.
Night all.

The dinner preparations look so good, the rooster on the chopping board looks like he has red legs!! Time to relax once the family goes, a quiet home takes some getting used to once again.Lovely vege market. Cheers from Jean.

It's quiet here too tonight. I don't think a looser boot would help. My paddock boots are old and the leather is very soft, like butter. They are the most forgiving and comfortable shoes I have. I think it was just too soon to ride. I like your idea of combining the pastures. I'm sure the girls will love it.

Beautiful sky pictures. Great looking food too.

We had lots of rain last night along with lots of lightening and thunder. Doesn't seem that much cooler today just more muggy. I'm with you this summer is not the best. Hope it cools down soon.
