AAAHHHHHHHH. A PERFECTLY BEAUTIFUL FALL DAY.

 From morning 'til night.
Lily was walking the fence when the pups and I went out to the barn, but she never joined us.
Fed the girls and sent them out to the back pasture.

The sun took the chill off and the grass was still wet.
Gary was on his way home with Finn and Coop while I headed for the market.  I immediately ran into my friend Judy, her grandson and two nieces (visiting from the Thousand Island area where they read my Journal).
I wonder what Roger made for dinner tonight....saw him with a couple bags of goodies.
Next week is the last day for the market.
Are brussel sprouts interesting or what?  I should have gotten some.
People were buying up end of the season tomatoes to make sauce.
When I got home I mowed...
and mowed....
(this mushroom was in the side yard...doesn't it look like a duck with it's head tucked under it's wing)
 and mowed...
The dogs waited in the back yard.
while I finished.
All the soy beans are off the back 40.

Darrin K. (used to board Winnie here) stopped over with his sweet little sports car.  He picked up all my winter Rambos and took them home to be washed.  They have a separate washing machine just for horse stuff and the price is reasonable.
The late afternoon sun was very strong.

Gucci and Phoebe spend a lot of time watching the activity across the street.
Did the evening chores at 6:30.  The horses were enjoying the temperature for a change.
Lily was in the Queen's chair...didn't come to the barn tonight either....

Sidney was anxious to get in the house for some chow.
Finally done....have to get in some PJs and watch The Good Wife.
Night all.

The Good Wife is one of my favorites too. Lovely pictures. It's so nice to have cooler temps and almost no bugs for a while. Think the horses like it too, they refused to come in the other night and stayed out in the backfield all night. Didn't even come up for breakfast.

NIce weather at yours. And the grass is beautiful. Here it is a poor one. The auumn rain begins to fall. The mushrooms will rise up if it's not too dry after the rain.
There is one week holiday, but Le Cheval has so much homework that he works all day long. Just after the dinner, he takes the time to look at a movie because it's holidays time.
See you soon

Great day! You know what I thought that big mushroom was, at first glance? A big hunk of pizza dough! haha
