A PAUSE FOR THE CAUSE...

Look who got tortured helping with chores this morning....

She picked stalls...she carried water buckets....she raked the run-in....
At one point Abbe was trying to tell Daniela what to do.

Belle is doing very well.  At night I have continued to let her go wherever she wants and she ends up in her own stall.  She'll have to get used to a new one on Friday when Mustafa leaves.
Daniela and I drove over to Barb's to take more pictures of the almost finished product.

The mats were in...the buckets and feeders up.
 The cross ties in place....
 The footing had been spread.
Tomorrow she will get a load of sawdust and that's that.

Tina...another hibiscus blossom was waiting for me this morning.

 Class at 10:30.
 Daniela and Ariana joined us.

The daughter of our friends Carol and Topper has been working on a children's book about a whale that was caught up in some nets near the Golden Gate bridge.  She was cut loose by a group of divers.
Ironically, Tina had a photo and a small article about this from a California Newspaper.  Such an emotional story.
I hope it all works out so we can read it.

Tina is still working on DJ and the hydrangeas.

Donna is starting on a Mandala.

Judy has started a drawing of a sheep and is doing a great job.  Much more comfortable now.

I did a little mowing and dragged the outdoor arena.  Of course rain is predicted for tomorrow.
We have been here for 30 years and the front paddock has never filled in with grass.  It's so much nicer this way...there's cement under there.

Ariana and Daniela stayed home today...needed to cool it.  I think Finn and Coop needed a break too.

While Gary and Daniela went for a hike, Ariana and I went down to Weggies and I started dinner...er...breakfast.  Pancakes, Sausage, and eggs with cheese (baked in the oven).  Real maple syrup from a friend down the road....yum.

Jen and Finn joined us.  Coop went to the movies with Kevin.
 Sundaes for dessert.
Then the kids watched "Wipeout" (along with Jenny) and had a lot of laughs.
Went out to put the horses in at 9.  Barb came over to see Mustafa and helped.
Sidney (Mr. Disappearance) went out with me.
R and R time.
Night all.

Beautiful stalls !
The horses will be happy there.

We are appreciating our first holidays days, and we look at the work to do during theses holidays for Le Cheval will have to sit for competition exams (french, English, philosophy...°).
Also, I give English exercises to my little son for he has only 12/20 in English ans he needs to have more next year.
See you soon

Oh I love that Daniella helped you, Lori. And the girls get to join your lovely art class too. What a wonderful gran you are! I always use all hands on deck when I need chores done, and no-one seems to mind, ha! What an EMOTIONAL story about the whale and her rescue. Oh my, I had a lump in my throat. Thanks for sharing it. Have a great day, Lori. Blessings and (((hugs))) Jo

You're lucky to have found such a good slave.
Everyone looks like they're having a good time.

Gorgeous new barn! Barb must be excited to start using it. Such a sweet granddaughter and the food looks scrumptious as usual. Cooking... I need to find some time for that.
