A RECIPE FOR ANNETTE (ASPEN MEADOWS)

Skoog Farm Coleslaw

Ingredients:  green or red cabbage, onion, 2 carrots, 1 apple, green or red pepper (1/2 diced)
cider vinegar, sugar, celery salt, pepper
optional: craisins, pineapple and walnuts

Slice cabbage, mince a couple slices of onion, cube pepper and apple, grate carrots
Place in bowl and toss
Pour on some cider vinegar (I never measure) maybe 4 or 5 tablespoons
top with a tablespoon (or more to your taste) of sugar
celery salt, pepper
toss
Finish by adding mayo to taste (it does not take much because of the vinegar/sugar)

Let me know if you try it.

Sounds good, Lori. I think we'll try it.
P.s. What are craisins? Perhaps what we call raisins?

How much snow did you end up with?

I love craisins. What a great addition to coleslaw.

Craisins are dried cranberries. Raisins would work, I bet, though they don't have that little squib of tartness the cranberries do ;o)
