WHAT WILL TODAY BRING?

So much for the sunshine.  The cold morning turned mild quickly, but it was nothin' but grey.

And here is a very grey photo of Berlin and PC.  We opened up the back door to the run-in to shovel the snow out, and the horses thought it was a good opportunity to get in a pasture.  25 feet from the door the drifts ranged from 2-3 feet.

At one point, Abbe (in heat) was on one side of the fence and her boyfriend Mustafa, was on the other.

It took awhile for them to figure out how to get back to the paddock and their hay.

Barb and I had chores done in short order.  She is so efficient.
Gucci loves her and got a nice good bye.
Once again, only Seymour was interested in venturing out.  He and Gucci played in the snow.
Phoebe and the other cats were inside.
We finally finished shoveling today.  I needed a place for the tools of my trade.

Had lunch and left for drumming (after we watched Lidia on PBS).
There was no messing around today.  We got right to it and did not stop until 4:30.  Khalid is really pushing us more now.  The people who have been coming for years know most of it....just the newbies have a lot to learn.

Here is an example of one of the things we worked on.

I had to stop at Wegmans on the way home....got here around 5.
Went straight into dinner making mode.  Tried something new.
I sliced two boneless pork chops in half....put them in a plastic bag (a couple pieces at a time) and beat the heck out of them with an iron skillet.   Once they were nice and flat, I dipped them in flour, then eggs, then bread crumbs.  Browned them on both sides.

In the meantime I had a couple more burners going.  Made lomain....
When the pork was browned, it was brushed with a sauce of honey mustard and orange juice...topped with another pie plate and put in the oven at 350 for about 15-20 minutes
Stir fried onions, carrots, red cabbage and snow peas....added low sodium soy sauce.
Put in all into one shallow bowl...
Made a little fruit salad...orange, banana and apple (I love fruit with Chinese food).
 and voila...a yummy dinner.
All my buddies were taking it easy....again.

I wish Bermuda would consider staying in the house.

Gary's doing the dishes and I am going to try and stay awake for "Harry's Law" at 8pm.  I fell asleep when it was on last Monday.

I'm outa here for now.
Night all.

I'm here at the end of your day and it looks wonderful--I'm hopeful it was, even if it is still feeling like winter!!
