SO HERE ARE THE NOTECARDS I HAVE MADE SO FAR....

I was thinking of taking them down to a local Gallery/shop to see if they could be sold there.  In the meantime I have received several comments suggesting I sell them myself.  In class today, we discussed pricing.  I'm not sure how I want to do this and would appreciate any thoughts you might have.  In the past three years I have taken well over 80,000 photographs and would love to start making more cards out of my favorites.  Can't wait to hear from you.

This post was just put up and I have already received several great suggestions.  Pricing is no problem.
Yes, I would like to market them from my Journal.  Sure I could make packets with a theme...L'orange for Louise, all the kitties for Sally, Ponies, Flowers, the Canal, Architecture, food....whatever.  The quality of the paper is outstanding and I am very happy with the printing.  The etsy thing would take more effort, but is not out of the question.  Thanks for the quick response.

I really like these very much. I have considered making cards, etc... myself and creating an etsy shop. I don't know if you are familiar with this or not. If not check out the online shop at:

http://www.etsy.com

It promotes people making homemade goods and selling them online. Many, many creative things can be found there. I love shopping on the site.

Wow those are great! I love them all but my favorites are Pony and the one of the three gray horses. :) I can't give advice on pricing. I'm no good at that lol. Good luck!

They are absolutely lovely. Are you going to sell them in combination packets, or all the same kind in one package? If you ever make up a L'Orange medley, I would buy it in a snap. I just think he is the coolest cat.

What about those Etsy stores? I don't know anything about them, but it might be something to look into. This blogger has a store. Maybe you could look through her's and get some ideas.

Hello!! I buy a lot of note cards and I would buy your pictures as cards. I often purchase cards from local photographers that have them grouped together in 'themes.' The cards by themselves are priced a little bit above cards purchased at the store, and in my view are worth every penny!

Lori, you are so talented. They are beautiful cards! Don't know how, where or when to market them...but I'll be first in line to buy some.

ps..could you market them from your blog?

I love your notecards--they are fabulous. I tried making some after taking pictures of flowers last spring and summer. Need to "perfect" them a little more, but I'm enjoying working on them.
I'm rather new to blogging--come visit my blog sometime. I'm sure I'll be checking back in to see more of your lovely work. Mickie

I know that sometimes when I am on vacation and visiting rural or resort towns, I love to look at the spiral racks of homemade cards. After a while the cards within each line that the big companies publish become predictable -- always a specific style both visually and verbally, so I love to find something fresh. I suspect most general stores would want you to purchase your own display rack, but you could inquire in places like that.

Beautiful! My favorite is the one w/barn roofs and sunset sky. Hope you find a way to sell them online; wish I knew what to suggest.

Your cards are fantastic. I am thinking of doing some with a botanical theme from my paintings. I bet you could do some with your paintings and even get your students involved. I love being able to purchase smaller items like this in a gallery. It makes me feel good to know that I am buying from an artist. I also love the one of the barn roofs.
