SAY CHEESE...

Don't let that morning sun fool you....

Barb was here to help with chores.  At 9:30 it still looked pretty good.  This is the view through one of the run-ins that takes them out to the pastures on the North side of the barn.

I opened up the indoor in case there was a change in the weather.  These are very spoiled ponies...
and occasionally they are smart enough to go in and get out of the weather.

Can you see where the horses go through the run-in to the pasture?

There was so little snow, the grass was showing...

Then at 3:15, along came a snow burst.

A real change in the weather.
Just one of those afternoons.
I vacuumed, started on dinner, vegged....

Gucci did the same.

By then (4pm) it really started coming down, so I got off my butt and took my camera outside.

Phoebe knew enough to go in the run-in.

Headed back to the house...and started shoveling.

Finally got Sid and Seymour in.

Now we are all waiting for Topper and Carol to come to dinner.

Comfort food comin' up.

That must mean pasta.

A nice big salad.

Sauce from our own garden.  Tomatoes, peppers, carrots, onions, garlic...very light.

Good company.

Carol made a dessert I have never had.  Baked bananas and vanilla ice cream drizzled with a fresh carmel sauce topped with pecans.

The evening would not have been complete if Topper did not take a picture of me taking a picture of him.

Night all.

You have made very beautiful pictures.
The snowmen are very beautiful.
The snow does not seem to disturb the horses.
Here it's around 53°F. I'll try to garden a little this afternoon.
Your beautiful salad makes me think I have to prepare the lunch.
See you soon

The horses must be tough to want to stay outside in that weather. Love your house and dinner.

Snow ponies! I think they enjoy it as much as we do. Sure was beautiful yesterday where you were.

I think you have more days than the average person. I *think* I visit every day, but when I return I see that you've snuck in some extra days and animals and friends and OMG that bananas/ice cream dessert--!

Love the shot of Gucci on the pillows! Something magical about the snow. We have gotten quite a bit lately too. I only wish that we had your indoor...
