Before I went out to do chores this morning, I was frantically looking for some things to photograph for Macro Monday.
Theses are two shots I did not post, so you are getting them now.
Out to the barn with my partners in crime...the temperature was not bad!
I let Dream go wherever she wanted while I set up the morning feed. I've been doing this since she got here, when the rest of the horses are in their stalls. At first she would go to the outdoor arena for some reason, but now she has wandered in all but the back pasture.
Last night she did not eat all her hay or grain...I was told to expect this.
Fortunately she is a very quiet girl and easy to catch.
I have a feeling she will come when I call her in the very near future.
Today she had the two smaller pastures and I put the rest of them in the biggest one. The hay was set up on either side of the fence.
They are all getting used to each other, so tomorrow I may put her on a lead and take her in with the other horses for a little while. On Wednesday, Barb will come over and we can see how it goes.
The pups did their usual wrestling routine...they lasted outside for about an hour.
Gucci gets mad if I put her in before I'm finished...and she has chewed on the coffee table in the kitchen. Talk about stress marks. She's in deep tapioca!
Phoebe, on the other hand, is a perfect lady.
After lunch we headed out to do some errands.
First I mailed some cards....then we went to Ryan's for some Christmas eve groceries.
Ended up at Glen Darach Farm to deliver some apples for the horses and a nice Rambo sheet that used to belong to Joe...it does not fit any of the horses here and Andrea has a couple of big guys who should be able to fill it nicely.
I let the dogs out for a few minutes and for once they did not chase this cat. Why? Because the cat is not afraid of dogs and didn't run.
On the way home I drove by Deb Ts house. Like a postcard with the snow.
Did not make dinner...out to do chores at 5.
Once again, I let Dream wander after the others went in their stalls.
It started to snow.
This time, she voluntarily walked into the barn and actually wanted to eat hay and grain. I brought the water bucket over and she even took a big drink. She must be getting used to the routine (a quick study, I might add).
Gary went down to get his newspaper...I called ahead for a pizza that he picked up on the way home. It's New York style with thin crust and nothin' but cheese on it. Light and delicious.
Had to have a salad with it.
I am going back out by the fire. Around 7:30 I was sitting in the rocking chair next to the nice heat and fell asleep with my hand on my chin and elbow on the arm of the chair. I was supposed to be watching "Hardball." Now, I think I'll turn on the tea pot and hit the couch. Night all.
