MOSQUITO HEAVEN....

Gee, it rained last night. Not hard enough to flood the outdoor arena, but still...what the heck is going on with that weatherman?

Mademoiselle Gucci runs around so much she needs to pant and cool off.

These lilies are in front of the indoor...this year they really matured.

Phoebe, on the other hand, is much more sedate and relaxed....

I did a little weed wacking and picked the last of the spinach, other than that I vegged until about 3:30 when Jen and the boys arrived. She helped me hook Abbe to the little red cart after we did some line driving and I put the poles on her. When we finish, I am working on having Abbe stand free in the tack room while I remove her harness and bridle. This is the 2nd time and she is getting pretty good about it. Some day in the next decade when I am trying to do this all by myself, I want her to be prepared to stand quietly while she gets hooked....inside, in a field, wherever...

Finn took a little break and watched Arthur on PBS.

Cooper was his usual self.

Kevin is at a golf tournament, so I made dinner for all of us. Trina did the chores, and I was free to get busy. This is a salad with mixed greens, mango, green grapes, banana, crumbly blue and a wine blush dressing. Oh yes, I topped it with slivered almonds.

We had a bowl of fruit left from the event last night.

Left over chicken meatballs....

stirfried summer and zuchini squash with onions topped with a little Pecorino Romano cheese at the end...fresh ground pepper too.

Olives left over from last night.

Made little meatball subs...

Coop slept through dinner and was very crabby when he woke up.

At 7:30 the sky was beautiful so I had to go out and grab some shots. Gary has almost half of the garlic out.

We have many volunteer flowers around the vegetable gardens.

There are those ugly leaves again....

Below is the neighbors pergola covered with trumpet vine....FABULOUS!

The dill is now over 5 1/2 feet high.

The corn is also getting quite tall....

I am now ready to go take off the horses masks, and can't remember when I have been so out of gas. Tomorrow is another day....

Night all. I am so glad that all of my followers were not lost!

Beautiful flowers. A little rain might help them to grow. Here it is so dry and windy. Many lands have burnt around Marseille and are still burning in Corsica.
