DIDN'T GET OFF THE FARM...

It rained again last night but this morning was beautiful.

There must have been a lot of bugs in the pasture, as the horses all came back into the barn.  I decided to set the hay up inside and under the shed roof so they would be more comfortable.

Pony and Joe usually are kept out of the run in, so they go for the shed roof.
Beautiful blossoms..sick looking leaves....

Class today....Tina's drawing of Buster Brown is now finished.

Mikayla is working on a drawing of herself at age 3.
Sandy is still working on the Bedlam Farm goats....
Mel did another drawing of the goat he started last week...what an improvement.
Had great intentions of going to the bank, but worked Abbe instead.  She was pretty good today.
I was very impressed that she would just stand there for the photo.
Turned her back out...still a nice afternoon.
The Farewell to Michael Jackson dominated all the TV stations.  Saw a little of it.
It's hard to believe he was 50.
and that he was rehearsing just a few days ago for his world tour.  I don't know of anyone who could "outmove him."  I must admit that I liked a lot of his music, but do not understand the lifestyle he chose.  A very sad story.

So what did we have for dinner?  I tried to make something new.  Zuchini and corn fritters topped with a little sour cream, and what else????  A spinach salad.  A couple of my art students picked some today....it is still going strong.

When I went out to take the masks off the horses, this plane was flying overhead.

The sky was gorgeous....

The sun was just about ready to go down when I got back to the house.
Have to go put the horses in and will hit the sack.  Night all.

  2. I just love to come here. Everything is so peaceful and pretty - even the music in the background. Thanks for the oasis!

  3. 'Lovely flowers, sick leaves'. Hollyhocks are like that, I'm afraid. We have some with very dark, almost black flowers. Not sure I like them - slightly unnatural looking.
    Regards, Mike.

  4. Boy, the food you make always looks so good. I bet with all the rain you've been having it is buggy. Our gnats are terrible right now. Abbe looks so nice all geared up!
