TAKE THE DAY OFF.....

The morning was nice enough...a little grey perhaps.  We need rain, what did we get?  30 seconds of spitting.
As you can see, our garden by the pergola is going crazy.  We have hundreds of day lilies in this area.

This part of the post is for our grandaughter, Ariana.  She loves cars!

What do you think Ariana?  Do you like the Pierce Arrow or do you prefer this 56 Thunderbird?

Grampa's friend Jim pulled in the driveway around one pm to see how he was doing.

Don't you think Grampa would look good driving this car?

It is in perfect condition....
...and the original owner was Pearl Buck...look up her name and tell me who she was....
Grampa is looking more like his normal self...still sore, but doing more each day.
How 50's are the dice hanging from the mirror????

Bimpa, Finn and the Coop stopped at the Farm with hot bagels on their way to Fredonia.  Just then Donna and Kendra drove in to check on Grampa.  We all sat down at the kitchen table and pigged out.  Everyday he has gotten a ton of phone calls... a lot of people care about him.

While we were just hanging around, Jenny and her neighbor, Sharmene, got up at 4:30am so they could drive to Buffalo to participate in half a marathon (13 miles).  They have been walking an average of 25 miles a week for months, and wanted to give this a shot.
They arrived at 6am...4000 people were participating.

Jenny sported one of her "pink" shirts for the occasion.
They did not want to carry their cameras, so they did a little photo shoot at the end.
I love this shot.

Team Brockport....
They finished and still look like a million bucks.  I give them both a lot of credit for doing this.

Lori - I just caught up on your world, and I'm so sorry to hear about Gary's accident - I'm glad that he's up and about already. I'm sure you must be glad to have a long weekend to just enjoy being around the farm. Thanks for all your kind thoughts and comments on my blog.

It's great to see Gary doing so well considering what the truck looked like afterwards.
