52 DEGREES........

This morning the sun looked like a big orange ball...I must have caught it earlier than usual.
By the time I finished chores, the horses were out in the back pasture.  It looks pretty ugly to me, but they were busy trying to find something to chew on.

Phoebe had a grooming appointment at 12:30, so Gucci and I went for a ride out to Glen Darach farm while she was getting her hair cut.  When Phoebe was a puppy, I took a picture of her with Andrea too.  She is my friend, the horse trainer, and owner of this farm.  She moved over here from England many years ago and worked with Abdullah (a Trakehner Stallion who went on to the Olympics)...he was the sire of my mare Marieke.  Anyway, Andrea was a very competitive Event Rider and horses are her life.  She continues to teach and train...is now also involved with driving horses.  Hopefully she will be able to get Abbe hooked for me.
Gucci could tell that she was an animal lover.
Below is a picture of one of the horses at Glen Darach.  She is owned by Joan, who was one of my art students.
When we left, it was too early to pick up Phoebe, so we went for a ride out to the lake....
That would be Lake Ontario.
There is still a lot of ice floating around.  Today there were ducks hanging out on it.

Near the shore, the ice and snow form large shapes that look like mereingue (Fe, how do I spell that word?).

Gucci waited for me in the car while I took the photos.
After we picked up Phoebe, she just wanted to take a nap.

Tonight it was this light at 6:10pm.  I'm loving it.
Here is Phoebe's new hairdoooooo.  She will look spiffy for Therapy Dog duty tomorrow.

90 degrees over at our end of the world - and that's converted to fahrenheit :-D
Phoebe looks great! Sheba can definitively relate to how tiresome it is to have someone "clip" at you... There's nothing worse than having one's paws inspected or ones nails clipped!

Pheobe,
I had my grooming, too. I don't know why it makes me want to nap all afternoon. (Guess the same thing happens to you.)

When it was chore time I was wide awake. I got to play frisbie, but I didn't get muddy, so we'll both look pretty spiffy when we visit our reading students. See you then!
Love D.J.
