TODAY IT WAS ALL ABOUT SUNSHINE

Before I went out to do chores, the sun was shining in the window where Phoebe was sitting.
Then it moved to the South and came in our bedroom window.
I had to go out and unplug the water trough (the solar heat was taking care of keeping it ice free).  Before I got to the barn, I looked to my right and there was my yucca plant, yearning for the snow to disappear.
Our friends from Apple Creek Farm called to see if we wanted to go out for lunch about 12:30.
We were game.  They picked us up and we drove to a nearby town called LeRoy.  Every restaurant we went to was closed!!!!  So, we continued on to the next town (Caledonia) and saw a little place that looked good.  Gary and Louise jumped out of the car to check it out and they were just closing!!!  We turned around and went back to a little townie joint called the Town and Country on the outskirts of town (Louise had been there a long time ago).  Had a great lunch and lots of conversation while sitting in a sun drenched booth.
When we left, it felt like spring was in the air.
Got back in the car and headed back to the farm via the Oatka Trail.
By 5:15pm the sun was going down in the West and the light was strong in the library and living room.

Dirty Eddie.....
The ivories were heating up....
This painting was done by one of the art teachers I worked with at the High School.  Maybe the sun will come out tomorrow.

Lovely post and lovely days these days of sun and rays, huh!
That chair is exquisite! Tell me about it...does it have history?

Yes, sunshine (even when there's no real heat in it yet) always makes us feel better. And it's a nice mild, sunny day here in Eastern England today. It's too early to say it really, but it feels as if spring's in the air. Hope so.
Regards, Mike and Ann.

Ah, I miss the sunshine. Now that we are residing (temporarily) in the garage there isn't any sunshine. It is +20...maybe I should just go outside for a little! :)
