This was a special day, as the Art & Aesthetics Committee (of which I am the current chair) dedicated the installation of a full sized mule and presented it to the Mayor of the Village of Brockport. "Mules" and "Erie Canal" just go together. Deanna, one of our committee members personalized a song for this occasion. It is sung to the tune of "15 Miles on the Erie Canal."
Her name is Phebe
she's a mighty fine gal-
a mule for Brockport
on the Erie Canal.
Come to see Phebe;
walk, bike or sail.

on the Erie Canal.
Lift bridge is up;
then it goes down.
Lift bridge means
that you're comin to our town.
Oh, it's nice to greet your neighbor,
and it's nice to see your pal,
Phebe - Brockport's mascot
on the Erie Canal.
