THE ERIE CANAL, WHERE EVERY VIEW IS A POSTCARD...

Today I went to a Roundtable in Canajoharie regarding art along the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor.  It was very well attended, and I was the first presenter giving some history on the beginnings of Art Walks On Water.  The main speaker was Ronald Lee Fleming of the Townscape Institute.  It was very eye opening to see what is happening all over the country, and what could develop here.  We are hoping for some sort of collaboration that would be mutually beneficial to artists and the Heritage Corridor.  In Hannah Blake (ECNHC), we have a very visionary friend who shares our passion for this project.  A great experience...because it was so well organized and filled with enthusiasm.  It took place at the Arkell Museum...if you have never been there, it is worth a visit.
